Hi guys, just a couple of Rocksoc related things to remind you all about:
-----Clubtrip to Sheffield-----
There's still plenty of tickets left for our first clubtrip of this year. This Saturday coming (6th) we plan to take you all over to Sheffield for a night of rock and metal at Sheffield Corporation. We'll be meeting at the Old Bar around 7.30 and then taking a coach over to Sheffield from the Parkinson steps at 9, we should get back to Leeds around 3.30/4 Sunday morning. If you fancy coming drop into the Old Bar any time between 12 and 2 this week and buy your place on the coach. Coach places are £3 for members and £5 for non-members, entry to Corporation will be a mere £1. Bargain.
-----Metal Kettle-----
Next Wednesday (11th November) sees the return of our monthly Metal club night, Metal Kettle. Rocksoc's own DJs will take to the booth at Subculture (down the side of the Merrion Centre in town) to bring you a night of tasty riffs, face melting solos and more double bass pedal than you can shake a stick at. Doors will open at 9pm and it will be finishing in the wee hours of the morning, probably around 2am. Entry for society members will be £2 and £3 for non-members, unless they want to sign up then and there to take advantage of the discount (all all of the other discounts the Rocksoc Membership card gets you).
If you are looking for places to go beforehand, we’d recommend Carpe Diem as its close by and relatively cheap drinks, or the Cuthbert Broderick in Millennium Square; you might even see some of the committee down there as well.
