Vanishing Point are a melodic progressive metal band from Australia. They have released 4 albums over a decade, and have never failed to disappoint the media and fans alike. Their previous release, Embrace The Silence, made No. 1 in the Australian album charts, and I wouldn't be surprised if the new album did the same. The album features heavy riffs and powerful melodies and choruses alike, and ideal for fans of bands like Sonata Arctica (Sonata covered the song Two Minds, One Soul from their Tangled In Dream album). The band have made themselves well known by being the first unsigned band at Wacken in 2000 (I think), and touring with bands in Australia like DragonForce and Gamma Ray, and Sonata Arctica on a past European tour. It's a real shame Australian bands like Vanishing Point don't get a lot of attention outside their home country, as these guys have the potential to be big
Highlights: Embodiment, Tyranny of Distance, Surrender, Hope Among The Heartless, Behind The Open Door
