Thrashtacular Smiling

You'd never guess that this is their first album in 9 years; the chemistry between everyone is clearly evident. Also, while this retains a lot of "classic" elements, there are quite a few new ideas as well; to me, it sounds a bit like Iced Earth in places.

The album isn't bad, but is a little over-rated. The first three tracks were good, but the rest of it didn't grab me.

Have to say that their performance of More Than Meets The Eye at Download was great though.

Testament where hands down the highlight of Download for me, nowt came close.
Bit like this album and everything else ive heard this year, its genius, its not even their best album (The Gathering holds that spot) but its still better than anything else ive heard in the past year.
All the old thrashers are making successful comebacks, Megadeth's last one was good, Death Magnetic is pretty ace, Exodus can't put a foot wrong, Slayer are just Slayer, Annihilator aint doing too bad, and Anthrax.....what the hell's going on with Anthrax? Puzzled
