So guys, as you should all be aware by now our hallpween party is coming up. If you have anything you would like to here on the night, post it here and if it's not too obscure, one of the djs may just play it.

See you all there - it's gonna be awesome

Well I'd rather DJ myself (it's been too long Rick!) but the following bands would be appreciated if I have to leave it to other people: -

Scorpions
Clutch
Testament
KISS
White/Rob Zombie (although I guess that's a given considering the prizes)
Dimmu Borgir
ZZ Top
Iced Earth
Weezer

I was considering playing some Dimmu and Iced Earth. Any particular tracks you want? I've only got half an hour though, so I'm not guaranteeing I'll play them. Sticking out tongue

I'll probably be able to fit in some Weezer.

I'm pretty sure I have the Monster Mash somewhere, and if I don't, I'm going to get it.

You can play it safe with Dimmu: Progenies... would be fine Smiling

As for Iced Earth, I'd say Burning Times would go down best Smiling

Thanks Rick, what genre(s) would you like me to cover? In the past, I've done metal sets, classic rock sets, or quite general sets that have included everything from Bowling for Soup to Sonata Arctica :s

I agree with Tom's requests (except for maybe Weezer!) as for Iced Earth, Burning Times would be cool - that or Melancholy from the Matt Barlow stuff would probably go down best or maybe one of the singles they released when Tim Owens was in the band - Reckoning or Ten Thousand Strong?

Rep the metal Alyna!

PS. someone should definitely play 'This Is Halloween' by Marilyn Manson!

The best Ten Masked Men cover is clearly 'Sex Bomb'

In terms of Halloween themed songs, I'm guessing the following go without asking (but I'll ask anyway): -

Ghostbusters theme
Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London
Monster Mash
Something from Rocky Horror

And I know they're more country than rock songs, but how about "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band and "Ghostriders in the Sky" by Johnny Cash (or Children of Bodom's version if you prefer!)

I have several of these songs on a cheap Halloween compilation CD I got in HMV t'other day: any DJs want to borrow it?
