Is it just on my browser, or is it a bug tht when people quote posts that have already quoted posts, the boxes seem to break and let the text escape into the main body of the message?
Nah it happens to me as well
That happens to most people, I think. It's somewhat annoying, but I can live with it.
its been happening for me for a while, on flock, firefox, opera and IE
It seems to do it if there breaks in the quoted text from what I can tell. So something all one line will quote fine, but longer quotes will not. Don't know if that's helpful.
I can also say that it does it in IE, Mozilla and Safari. Doesn't seem to be browser specific at all.
Yeah, I thought it was just an Opera thing.
Ah, well.
you can easily edit it to sort it out. You just have to mess around with it

One shouldn't have to do that though!
I'm pretty sure I pointed this out ages ago, the quotes break when a paragraph tag(<P>) is approached.
Since most people are using the rich text crap, a new paragraph tag is created every time a new line is forced.
So simply removing gaps in text, ie paragraph breaks, down to one line gaps-

I'm just suplying the dev team with repeatable results.

Fairy Nuff
This is an input filter problem. I'll have a play with it when I'm not using IE8.
...when I'm not using IE8.
Why are you using IE8?
Because it shipped with the windows 7 beta.
I believe it was "Micrsoft's Last Product Worth Buying Was For The Altair" day and I had to remind myself how bad all their products were.
Actually that's going a bit far, once they get the showstopper bugs ironed out of 7 it'll be pretty good. At least on touch-screen netbooks, and where users never have more than 3 browser tabs open. That and no-one sent microsoft the memo about high resolution monitors...
Is there any progress? Pages with lots of quoting are pretty much unreadable.
I think I fixed it, time to flush the cache

Hmm
Fixed for some test cases and not others.

I think it breaks after certain levels of nesting.
Maybe hold back on the uberquotes is the second half of this?
Nested quotes are doomed to be broken. Try asking tim to fix this and see what he says.
I think I may have fixed this. I am going to start an uberquote thread in general to put it through it's paces.
