When going to the poll page it says i can vote. Has the poll been re started since i voted or is it letting me have a 2nd vote.

I think it's the latter, and whilst i haven't voted again someone may take advantage of this.

Any ideas anyone?

It's because the poll got moved. The original votes are stil recorded, just not who made them. Not much to be done about it unfortunately.

Why did it get moved?

I'm guessing:

The petty squabbling over this issue is probably causing more damage through alienation of those fabled "potential members" than the issue being squabbled about. Especially if you paste up polls on the front page of the website.

Just a guess though.

unfortunately, fiddling with a poll in any way (including sticky/unsticky or promote/unpromote) will cause the poll to forget who voted, whilst still keeping the votes handed so far leading people who already voted to get another vote. This is a known bug with the poll module (not my handiwork - it is a known bug with all vanilla drupal installs) and suffice to say is not worth me fixing it as my work would be undone if the module ever got updated*.
