I think he managed to do what he was paid to do very well, the problem was that he was doing something that he was paid to do rather than what he wanted to do; though one very good thing did come out of Brothers Grimm, Tideland, what a fucking awesome movie. Something's he's bitched about enormously since and indeed during the making of the movie. Never has a lease been soobvious on a director.... I wonder what it would have been like had he had free reign.... A required movie on the tour bus. INstead of a swear box, we had a 'Tap' box. Anyone who uttered something tap-esque, had to stick a quid in. That's pretty much how we afforded petrol....
