For such a young band, Evile are a very tight live unit and sound much better than they do on record. Also, more people than I expected seemed to be aware of them and they generally got a very good reception; nice to see. Setlist was: -
First Blood
Thrasher
We Who Are About to Die
Bathe in Blood
Enter the Grave
Although the best part of the performance was when frontman Matt Drake said "we've got one song left and then you've got Megadeth!" So no Job for a Cowboy for us: haha!
Megadeth's performance was great of course and, as expected, tighter than a convent. Most songs effortlessly flowed into one another, and everyone seemed to be on top form; new guitarist Chris Broderick is a great addition to the band's general sound. Setlist, which I think was near-perfect, was: -
Sleepwalker
Wake up Dead
Take No Prisoners
Skin O' My Teeth
Washington is Next
Kick the Chair
In my Darkest Hour
Hangar 18
Gears of War
A Tout le Monde
Tornado of Souls
Die Dead Enough
Burnt Ice
Symphony of Destruction
Trust
Peace Sells
Holy Wars... The Punishment Due
