Well the line-up wasn't so great this year, and I didn't see so many bands, but here's what I thought of those I did see:
Korpiklaani - as good as they always are.
Ministry - their sound was impressive, as was the use of constant video material as a backdrop, but putting a massive fence in front of the stage meant it lost a lot of atmosphere and band-crowd contact (for me at least).
Def Leppard - lots of fun, though the crowd could have been a bit more energetic.
Avantasia - magical. Absolutely the best thing about the festival, and an experience I will treasure.
Sabaton - I didn't originally intend to watch all their set, as a little of this unoriginal power metal band goes a long way, but I was kidnapped by some Czechs, so I saw the full 75 minutes. They were better than last year anyway.
Annihilator - great thrashy fun. They surprised me by playing 4 songs off Never Neverland and 3 off Alison Hell.
Alestorm - despite being a member down (they had a stand in keyboardist) and sound problems, these guys were still a good laugh and worth getting up for.
Amon Amarth - the torrential rain that started during their last song made the crowd go wild and was fitting in an epic kind of way.
Gotthard - I only saw the last 3 or 4 songs they did, but enjoyed their fun hard rock. This was all I saw of the final day, as I was feeling ill that day.
