Leeds scene?

 Hi everyone, I'm a visting student to Leeds for the next week or so. I'm looking for some fun METAL things to do in the area while I'm here. Metal travel guide recently updated their info and some of the leeds places look pretty cool. I was wondering if you guys go to any of these events or have any input. I was thinking about checking out RIO's this weekend (the 19th)....it looks like they have a metal room and cheap beer! Suggestions? Comments? -Mel

 I would suggest The Cockpit, under te arches near the train station. Carpe Diem sometimes have live bands, personally I dont like Rios but they do have some good nights.

 Don't go to Rio's as they're mercilessly shit and have shut (or are very close to shutting) down.

 If you're just after your bog standard metal night, try FUEL at Leeds Met Student Union, which is on every Friday: cheap drinks

Rio's has indeed shut down (apparently just for the summer, I'm not convinced). Hurrah! |
