Not seen any subjects of "hail!" which I thought was a tad unusual for a Rock forum, so I thought I'd be there first.

I go by the name of Mark. My screen name, EC, is a nickname among a few people. Either is fine. I'm in a foundation year at the mo, going onto Aerospace Engineering next year.

As for musiiiiiiiic... Melodic death, symphonic, black, folk, speed, industrial and also progrock. So... In other words most metal. Favourite bands are and pretty much always have been Iron Maiden, Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, Rammstein and Dream Theater. Recently listening to a bit of Moonspell, Old Man's Child, Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Theatres Des Vampires. Quite a lot really.

Sick, well, will probably see some of you soon.

Greetings from the Rocksoc on behalf of someone who isn't in the Rocksoc this year but intends on being in the Committee nest year.  (i've yet to figure out this myself, don't worry too much).

Well he mentioned Pink Floyd and Kraftwerk as well!

I do hope that was spoken with a positive tone, and not "hurrah he likes Moonspell and Sonata........ But....... He also mentioned Pink Floyd and Kraftwerk......" :-)

Aye I'm planning to come to the Christmas Dinner to make my face known, though I may be rushing off soon after the grub as I've other plans also.

Mmm, other prog? Can't say I listen to that much, Dream Theater have a large enough discography to keep me busy on the prog front, but I've heard that Rush are a band I gotta check out.

And also, don't suppose anyone here is going to the Slipknot gig in Sheffield on the 12th are they? I'm currently going on my own, heh.

I'll make a new topic in the other part of the forum. Metal is just always better when shared!

Two of my favourite bands, as it happens....especially Kraftwerk. Seen them perform (I hesitate to use the word 'live' here) many, many times....always good for a yuk or two... yeah!
