I'm a bit premature with this review, as I'm only on track 2 so far, but I'm really enjoying this release! Tobias Sammet has continued exploring the hard rock/glam themes he's approached in Rocket Ride and The Scarecrow, though this album is heavier than both of them. It's still Edguy of course. I can't wait to hear some of it live!

This is great stuff, especially considering he's already released one top-notch album already this year; I was half expecting the songs for the next Edguy album to suffer as a result, especially considering how quickly the whole thing seems to have been put together.
I agree about it being a bit darker than the other recent stuff, and I think that gives it a nice edge. Generally speaking, the music here tends to branch out into melodic hard rock territory; this isn't a strict power/heavy metal album by any means.
Oh, and I'd reccommend getting the special edition with the bonus hour-long live CD. Make sure to shop around though; cost me £11.50 from HMV.co.uk but is 18 quid instore!
