Of all the dire television shows of late. Even those that start great and slowly sink into a shocking parody of the origional shows (think Lost, Prison break) The show Dexter is a breath of fresh air and is really REALLY worth your time

If you have read the books great

If not then shame on you as you have missed out on a treat

The series capitalises on the books and really puts its weight behind the plot and characters

The show is not taking short cuts and new ideas, it follows the books really well, if better than some of the books it could be argued. which is testament to the quality of whats on the show. Its wonderfully acted, great performances. Especially the principal characters.

Which leads fittingly to Dexter himself

He is like Patric Bateman (american psycho). If he held a police job. Dexter is a serial killer who knocks of serial killers. Works for the police as a blood spatter analyst and finds himself the focus of the attention of a fellow serial killer who leaves no blood in his vctims.

Its reaally worth an hour of your time to watch, and the boxed sets are great (the ones i own) and you will enjoy it

if not, you are either a moron who doesnt like or enjoy the deliciously dark sattiree and black comedy on show

or just disagreeing for spite's sake

and if thats you summed up. Dexter should really kill you... as your a moron Sticking out tongue
