I've just tuned in to Countdown to find myself asking "who are you?"
I remember hearing about the alteration in host/ Carol but for some reason it requires you to actually watch the new series to realise just how foreign it now seems.

I Don't like change!

The presenter's Jeff Stelling (presents football shows on Sky Sports). He's good at those (look on youtube for his rant against people who hate Middlesbrough) but I don't think he's right for Countdown. At least Susie's still there, providing a bit of familiarity!

I had chance to catch the new Countdown line up t'other tea time. Love Jeff Stelling, cracking fella, but he just doesn't cut the mustard for me on Countdown. Same for the numbers girl, she's just so wooden I feel like carving a decorative coffee table out of her

True....but it took a couple of years for Vorderperson to warm up....
For a while she was second fiddle to the letters girl (whose name escapes me) and was referred to as the 'Vital Statistician'
Once the letters girl was ousted (largely because any monkey could do that but only Vorderperson could do the maths) she lightened up a lot, knowing her job was safe...
