Awesomely brutal: the first great album of 2009 
For me, what sets Cannibal Corpse apart from most other death metal bands is that they realise it's not just about being really fast; they realise the importance of groove and they actually write songs damnit! This is all especially evident on this album. Hell, you could almost call the title track slow!
Needless to say, the lyrics are as silly as ever; the title track is about the human race being genetically modified so that they feel compelled to rip out their own intestines
