Alternative shopping in Leeds is generally centered close to the Corn Exchange – a lot of it used to be IN the Corn Exchange before The Man shut almost all of it, bar Grin, down to turn it into a food hall, now it stands empty. It’s very sad, but there are still plenty of other places to get your consumer fix. The main shopping street in Leeds is Briggate, which has most of the shops you'd expect a high street to have. It's also worth having a wander around town through all the alleyways and arcades as new shops with cool stuff in periodically open.
