Also, for your visual delectation we will be hosting two bands from the local area (to be confirmed when I poke James for their names) starting at 8:30.

We here at Rocksoc have decided to start the new year with something a bit different. We are hosting a charity gig night with some of the best local talent around.

All proceeds from this event will be going to cancer research UK.

As this is the last clubnight of 2009 we're doing something a little different. We are combining both nights so you'll get a mix of both and DJ's from each night. Come down for fun and frolics before the term ends.

We will be meeting at carpe around 7:30 for cheap drinks and moving to subculture at 9.

As its coming up to christmas we've decided o host a christmas party at the packhorse pub. With this we will be having a carvery roast dinner and our traditional pub quiz. There will be goodies for the winner of the quiz and other games to play.

It will cost £7 for the night and we will be selling tickets for it all this week in the old bar from 12-2. Come along and celebrate chrstmas rocksoc style.Ro

This Wednesday sees the return of our monthly Metal club night, Metal Kettle. Rocksoc's own DJs will take to the booth at Subculture (down the side of the Merrion Centre in town) to bring you a night of tasty riffs, face melting solos and more double bass pedal than you can shake a stick at. Doors will open at 9pm and it will be finishing in the wee hours of the morning, probably around 2am.
